The London Resort CEO PY Gerbeau has struck down media concerns that the project has been paused after a legal challenge was made to make the proposed land a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Home to the distinguished jumping spider, the Swanscombe Peninsular is currently being considered by Natural England as to whether the determination should be made.
Responding to a question about the project's status in light of recent reporting, PY Gerbeau said on Twitter: "...this adventure had many bumps [and] knocks but for the past 20months we have designed a world class product, we have the best team ever to manage it, a bullet proof business plan and we are pushing forward !! Onwards and upwards !! Failure is not an option !!"
The decision by the National Planning Inspectorate as to whether to accept the recently submitted plans for the resort is due early next week, alongside the determination by Natural England as to whether to protect the site.
