Chessington World of Adventures have announced that a new public consultation for their future plans and developments will begin on 4th May 2021.
Writing on the local residents page of their website the park said: "Thank you for visiting the Public Consultation page for Chessington World of Adventures Resort. We are keen to hear your views of our future plans and announcements. We are currently finalising the booking information to attend either a face to face or virtual presentation on our future plans and details will be provided on this page from Tuesday 4th May 2021."
An online posting of a unconfirmed screenshot indicated that the park were intending on installing a new rollercoaster in the green space situated alongside Vampire, Blue Barnacle, Dragon's Fury and the Explorer Car Park.
This area has long been rumoured for development. Historically it has been left as a field for families to picnic on or let kids run around on, whilst in the past couple of years it has housed temporary attractions including a large inflatable and temporary beach.
Interestingly the path alongside this area has had cabling marked out, although it is unclear when these markings were made or if they are unrelated to the proposed development.
